Meet our new Pastor - Pastor William Rodriguez
Pastor William Rodriguez has been serving as a Pastor in the Ohio Conference of Seventh-day Adventist since May 2005, when he was a by vocational Pastor in the Cleveland-Lorain Spanish Churches District. He concentrated his time at the Lorain
Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lorain, Ohio.
In September 2009 he was asked to also pastor the Youngstown Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church. He pastored both churches until August 2010, when he became the Pastor of the Youngstown Spanish church only, still in a by-vocational role. In April 2011 he was offered the opportunity to work as a full-time Pastor with a five-church district. He has been the Pastor of the Findlay Spanish, Lorain Spanish, Wauseon Spanish, Willard Spanish, and Youngstown Spanish churches until December 19th, 2015. On December 26th Pastor Rodriguez will begin pastoring the Canton, Carrollton, and Wooster Seventh-day Adventist churches, and will continue to pastor also the Youngstown Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church, making it a four-church bilingual district.
Pastor Rodriguez is passionate about his ministry. He is dedicated, detail oriented, hard working, loves to learn, cares about the well being of others. He is loyal, selfless, likes helping people and listening to them. He truly loves the Lord, and is so thankful for His great love and mercy. His two favorite Bible texts are Philippians 4:13 (Christ gives us the power to live for Him), and 1 Peter 4:12-16 (how to deal with the trials that we suffer as Christians). Besides preaching and giving Bible studies, Pastor
Rodriguez like to spend time in administration, teaching, and pastoring/mentoring. He is very grateful also to have a great ministry partner in his wife Lucy, with whom he has been married for 30 years.
Pastor Rodriguez majored in Theology with a minor in Business Administration at Washington Adventist University, formerly known as Columbia Union College. He was ordained to the Ministry on June 23rd, 2012.
The ceremony was held at his first church, the Lorain Spanish Seventh-day Adventist Church. He and his wife Lucy have three adult children; Natasha, William, and Kevin; and a granddaughter, Isabella.
